Overview: Inner Landscapes--Intuitive Art and Sound Healing Online Course

 

This five-session course is designed to guide participants through a transformative journey of self-awareness, healing, and creative expression. Blending meditation, sound healing, and intuitive art practices, each session offers a safe and nurturing space for participants to connect with their inner selves, release limiting beliefs, and explore the depths of their true essence. Through breathing techniques, journaling, collage, painting, and abstract art, participants will learn to express their emotions, clear mental blockages, and cultivate a deeper connection to presence, love, and peace.

 

Course Objectives:

 

1. Enhance Mindfulness & Presence: Develop a stronger connection to the present moment through breathing and sound meditation.

2. Release Limiting Beliefs: Identify, process, and release limiting thought patterns using journaling, collage, and mixed media techniques.

3. Explore Authentic Self-Expression: Engage in intuitive and abstract art practices to express deeper truths and inner landscapes.

4. Cultivate Peace and Joy: Embrace the joy, stillness, and truth that arise from Presence, and explore these through creative processes.

5. Complete a Sacred Art Journey: Create a final work of art that represents the inner healing journey, symbolizing clarity, peace, and personal transformation.

 

Outline

 

Session 1: Identifying Thought Patterns & Letting Go

 

1. 20-Minute Breathing and Sound Healing Meditation:

     • Focus on allowing thoughts and feelings to arise naturally without judgment.

2. Sitting with Our Thoughts:

     • Explore and observe recurring thought patterns.

3. Journaling Exercise:

     • Write down intrusive and repetitive thoughts.

• Identify themes and patterns.

     4. Reflection:

• Discuss the power of recognizing thought patterns and the practice of non-attachment.

 

Session 2: Releasing Inner Beliefs

 

1. 20-Minute Breathing and Sound Healing Meditation:

​     • Center on feeling safe in Presence and releasing inner limiting beliefs.

2. Ripping and Collaging Intrusive Thoughts:

     • Use the written thoughts from Session 1, rip them up, and collage them onto a canvas.

     • Visualize detaching from the power of these thoughts through creative destruction.

3. Reflection:

     •.How does physical misidentification (tearing) of thoughts help in letting them go?

 

Session 3: Returning to True Essence

 

1. 20-Minute Breathing and Sound Healing Meditation:

• Focus on connecting with the truth of one’s essence beyond physical form.

2. Painting Exercise:

• Cover the collaged canvas with two coats of gesso, symbolizing a return to purity.

• Write affirmations or “love letters” to self using markers on top of the gesso.

3. Reflection:

• Reflect on the process of rewriting inner narratives and embracing unconditional self-love.

 

Session 4: Exploring the Inner Landscape

 

1. 20-Minute Breathing and Sound Healing Meditation:

• Focus on living in the light of Presence, truth, love, and stillness.

2. Creating an Abstract Landscape:

• Use acrylic paints and textures to represent the inner landscape of the heart.

• Focus on color frequency and meaning, and create a horizon to represent balance.

3. Exploration & Fun:

• Experiment with colors and textures. Scrape words of truth into the painting using the paintbrush handle.

4. Reflection:

• Discuss the representation of inner peace and joy in the artwork.

 

Session 5: Finalizing the Journey

 

1. 20-Minute Breathing and Sound Healing Meditation:

• Focus on resting deeply in Presence and stillness.

2. Final Touches & Glazing:

• Add final touches to the abstract landscapes.

• Apply an antiquing glaze and varnish to enhance depth and cohesion.

3. Reflection & Closing:

• Reflect on the entire journey, sharing experiences and insights.

• Discuss the transformation process and how it shows up in the final artwork.

 

Materials Needed:

 

• Mixed media paper and journals for writing

• Canvas boards for collage and painting

• Gesso for priming and layering

• Acrylic paints, paint markers, and permanent markers

• Medium for collage and gluing

• Paintbrushes (for painting and scraping)

• Antiquing glaze and varnish for finishing touches

 

Target Audience:

 

This course is for individuals seeking self-discovery and healing through creative expression, mindfulness, and sound healing. No prior art or meditation experience is necessary.

 

Expected Outcomes:

 

Participants will gain deeper insight into their thought patterns, feel empowered to release limiting beliefs, and create a meaningful piece of artwork that reflects their personal journey of healing and self-expression.
